“Food, glorious food!” – Lionel Bart
The event – ‘Little Chef’ was conducted for the K2 children in the week of 26th July 2021. The parents were requested to keep the ingredients ready and the children were ready with their chef caps and their aprons.
Cooking with children has many benefits. They learn and practice some basic math concepts and build language skills. The experience of cooking food can help them build their self-confidence, lay the foundation for healthy eating habits and encourages family bonding. We saw how some parents were involved in the preparation of the dish.
Videos prepared by our teachers, showing adults enjoying cooking sessions – showing the various tools used when cooking and a short video on a child dreaming about becoming a Chef, were enjoyed by all.
